Simple Life is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Tech team. You will design, build, and maintain streaming pipelines and ingestion systems, delivering data to the Snowflake warehouse and evolving our AWS streaming stack.

You will own data flows, work with Terraform infrastructure, and ensure robust, scalable production data systems. The role requires 5+ years of Python experience, strong cloud and streaming expertise, and a hands-on approach to data quality, availability, and

Formación

• 5+ years of Python development in backend/data engineering
• Solid distributed systems understanding (load balancing, sharding, sync vs async)
• Hands-on AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, containers in ECS/EKS)
• Experience building streaming pipelines (Kinesis, SQS)
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• SQL proficiency (reads/writes, joins, windows)
• Production data experience handling messy/duplicated/malformed input
• Knowledge of data flow in production systems and preventing downstream issues
• Operational mindset and ownership of production systems
• Ability to make architectural decisions independently

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain streaming pipelines.
• Develop custom ingestion pipelines from third-party APIs, webhooks, and SDKs.
• Migrate existing ingestion pipelines to our own infrastructure.
• Deliver data to Snowflake raw layer with schema consistency and resilience.
• Evolve the AWS streaming stack (Kinesis, SQS, Lambda, API Gateway) for cost efficiency and observability.
• Maintain Terraform infrastructure for ingestion and processing resources.
• Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
• Contribute to safe data access for AI agents and tooling.
• Continuously improve ingestion architecture, tooling, and engineering practices
