Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior Production Support Data Engineer to maintain and operate critical data platforms on AWS, ensuring reliability, performance, and smooth production releases for global teams.

You will troubleshoot incidents, optimize complex SQL queries, develop Python automation, and collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to prevent recurrences and continually improve data quality and platform stability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Production Support roles.
• Strong hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Experience supporting and operating AWS-based data platforms and services.
• Strong knowledge of Amazon Aurora, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience investigating and resolving production issues within data ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with Python for scripting, automation, and operational support activities.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution independently.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production incidents across data platforms and AWS services.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve platform stability and reliability.
• Support and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance in production environments.
• Investigate data quality, pipeline, and integration issues while ensuring timely resolution of business-critical incidents.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to coordinate issue resolution and production releases.
• Develop automation scripts and operational tools using Python to improve support efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and support runbooks for recurring issues and processes.
