Perficient is seeking an experienced Data Engineer/BI Engineer to design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for analytics. You will develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Python, or cloud-native tools, and build Power BI dashboards with semantic data models.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into data models and insights, ensuring data quality and governance across reporting layers while optimizing performance and cost.

Formación

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, BI Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboards, performance tuning).
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation and analysis.
• Experience with data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star schema).
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development.
• Experience with Python or similar languages for data processing is a plus.
• Understanding of modern data architectures (data warehouse, data lake, lakehouse).
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced English (written and spoken).
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for analytics.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Python, or cloud-native tools.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports with high performance.
• Design semantic data models (star schema, relationships, measures, DAX).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data models and insights.
• Ensure data quality, governance across reporting layers.
• Optimize datasets and dashboards for performance and cost.
• Implement best practices in data modeling, version control, and deployment pipelines.
• Work with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver insights.
• Support evolution of modern data platforms and analytics capabilities.
