Global Technology Services in Medellín, Colombia, seeks a Senior Azure Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines on a modern Azure platform. You will design data ingestion, transformation, and delivery solutions, collaborating across data engineering, API integration, CI/CD, and automation to support enterprise data needs.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and NoSQL experience, and hands-on work with Azure data services, Snowflake, and DBT.

• 10+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with data warehousing in enterprise environments.
• 4+ years on Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery and Composer.
• 2+ years of Snowflake experience.
• 5+ years of SQL experience with Microsoft SQL/SQL Server.
• 1+ years of MongoDB or NoSQL document databases.
• 1+ years of DBT tooling.

Position Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: LATAM

What you will be doing:

We are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, integration, and delivery solutions within a modern Azure-based data platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, PySpark, SQL, Azure DevOps, and Azure integration services. This role will work across data engineering, API integration, CI/CD, and automation to support enterprise data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar role, with a proven track record of designing and implementing data warehousing solutions preferably in an Enterprise environment.
• 4+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform: Big Query, Composer
• 2+ years of experience with Snowflake
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL or SQL database
• 1+ years of experience with MongoDB or NoSQL document database
• 1+ years of experience with DBT tool

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate, diagram and document complex engineering concepts.
