Job summary

EXL is seeking a highly experienced Data Modeler / Data Architect to design, develop, and govern enterprise-scale data models that power analytics, operations and BI across client engagements.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in data roles, hands-on Snowflake and dbt experience, cloud exposure (AWS/Azure), and advanced English for direct client interaction in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data modeling/architecture.
• Hands-on Snowflake data warehouse experience.
• dbt for data transformations and analytical modeling.
• Cloud experience in AWS and/or Azure.
• Advanced English (B2+) with client interaction experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data modeling process across conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Design scalable data models for Snowflake and cloud platforms.
• Implement analytical models using dbt with testing and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data models.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and lineage as part of the models.
• Mentor team members and contribute to architectural discussions.
