Job summary

Crossing Hurdles invites a PhD-level mathematician or equivalent to translate mathematical workflows into self-contained terminal environments and implement expert solutions using Python, R, Julia, C/C++, or Bash. You will model complex algorithms and ensure numerical stability in a Linux-based workflow.

You will develop automated tests to validate results across edge cases, insist on reproducibility, and work independently to verify correctness from first principles to production-ready code.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., postdoctoral experience or equivalent advanced technical experience in mathematics or statistics.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, Julia, C/C++, or Bash.
• Experience working in Linux or terminal-based environments.
• Ability to independently implement, test, and validate computational algorithms.
• Strong understanding of numerical stability, error analysis, and reproducibility.
