Learning Technologies Group PLC is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and evolve a multi-tenant SaaS hosting platform on AWS. You will heavily use Terraform, Puppet, and Python automation to manage large-scale Linux-based infrastructure and observability pipelines.

The role offers ownership over platform architecture and requires deep knowledge of distributed systems, storage, and on-call incident response. Experience with Moodle or education tech is a plus.

Formación

• Experience with AWS in production environments (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, Lambda, ALB, ElastiCache, Route 53, VPC networking).
• Ability to author and maintain Terraform modules for production infrastructure.
• Experience authoring Puppet modules (or equivalent) for fleet management.
• Solid Python skills for building production daemons and automation.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge (Ubuntu) including web servers, PHP-FPM, and networking.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts (consensus, leader election, eventual consistency).
• Experience building observability pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
• Familiarity with GitLab-based CI/CD workflows.
• Clear written/oral communication and documentation of architectural decisions.
• Hands-on work with multi-tenant SaaS platforms and related storage/quotas.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, Lambda, ALB, ElastiCache, Route 53, VPC).
• Write and maintain Puppet modules for fleet management across auto-scaling groups.
• Maintain Python-based automation and tooling supporting platform operations.
• Operate and improve distributed service discovery and configuration (etcd).
• Manage and tune a multi-tier caching stack (Varnish, Redis/Valkey, PHP OPcache).
• Run and scale observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Fluentd) and participate in on-call rotations.
• Evaluate and implement distributed storage solutions for evolving platform needs.
• Improve deployment workflows and release processes; collaborate on API contracts and tooling.
• Contribute to incident response, RCA, and platform reliability improvements.
