Job summary

Minka builds real-time payment infrastructure with a cloud-hosted ledger. The Senior Software Engineer role splits between the ledger and integrations teams, using TypeScript on Node.js with PostgreSQL and Kubernetes.

The position involves taking work from the backlog, designing it with the team, building with tests, deploying to production, and monitoring live systems. You ensure money never vanishes and every action is traceable.

Qualifications

• Five or more years building backend services in production.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid relational database skills, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Has built systems where doing something twice by mistake is a serious bug.
• Writes tests as part of the work, not after it.
• Has supported their own services in production.
• Explains and defends a design clearly, in writing and in review.
• Fluent level of both Spanish and English language.

Responsibilities

• Ship work from the team backlog, design it with the team, build it with tests, and production deployment.
• Look after live services; diagnose, fix, and document incidents.
• Learn system invariants and improve them over time; contribute to cross-team decisions.
• Participate in design decisions that reach across teams and mentor others through reviews.
