Job summary

Minka builds real-time payment infrastructure and operates a cloud-hosted ledger with Kubernetes-backed services. You will report to the head of engineering and lead engineering for our Latin America clients, coordinating teams and tech leads to deliver robust backend systems and integrations with banks.

You will plan work with tech leads, set priorities with product, keep trackers updated, and hire engineers while enforcing technical standards and scalable processes for faster delivery.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years in software engineering with production back-end code.
• Two or more years managing engineers, including tech leads or senior engineers.
• Ability to read code and design documents and challenge estimates.
• Experience planning work across multiple teams against client dates.
• Clear written and spoken communication in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Plan work with tech leads and keep delivery dates realistic.
• Set priorities with product to align engineering with business needs.
• Keep the issue tracker up to date and monitor progress.
• Raise early warnings for missed deadlines and blockers.
• Hold regular 1:1s to review performance and satisfaction.
• Hire engineers and help define technical standards.
• Introduce processes only when they save time for teams.
