FusionHit is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (backend-focused) to lead backend architecture and modernization for enterprise retail and supply chain systems built on Java/Spring Boot. You will drive API design and scalable services while collaborating with frontend, DevOps, and product teams.

You will modernize legacy platforms into scalable, maintainable services, working across the stack with React/Next.js/Angular/Vue and ensuring high performance and test coverage.

Formación

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of Backend/Fullstack Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot building enterprise-grade REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong experience with Postgres-backed data layers and API design for high-traffic retail systems.
• Frontend frameworks experience (React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue) to integrate across the stack.
• Strong modernization strategies for legacy backends.
• Automated testing for backend services and Playwright/Jest awareness for E2E coordination.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Observability with Datadog.
• Retail/store operations or supply chain experience is a plus.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead backend architecture decisions and modernization strategy for Java/Spring Boot services.
• Design scalable, secure REST APIs and microservices on Postgres-backed data stores.
• Drive code quality, testing, and CI/CD automation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, and product teams across multiple JS stacks.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Ensure performance optimization and monitoring using Datadog.
• Lead phased migration from legacy backend systems to modern service architecture.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback and real-world retail workflows into system design.
