Job summary

FusionHit is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer with a frontend focus to lead UI modernization for enterprise retail and supply chain systems. You will drive frontend architecture decisions, collaborate with backend teams, and elevate frontend standards across multiple projects.

The role requires strong TypeScript expertise, React/TS experience, and a track record of building scalable UI components. Remote in LatAm is supported, with overlap to MST for availability.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Fullstack/Frontend Engineering.
• 5+ years in modern JS/TS frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue).
• Advanced expertise in TypeScript with scalable architecture patterns.
• Experience designing and maintaining shared component libraries and design systems.
• Working knowledge of Java/Spring Boot backend services and PostgreSQL-backed REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of phased modernization strategies over legacy backend systems.
• Deep experience with Playwright (E2E) and Jest (unit testing).
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Experience implementing monitoring with Datadog.
• Retail/store operations or supply chain system experience is a plus.
• Excellent English communication (C1 preferred, strong B2 may be considered).

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend architecture decisions and modernization strategy across multiple JS stacks.
• Design scalable UI solutions and integrate with Java/Spring Boot APIs.
• Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD automation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, DevOps, and product teams.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Define testing strategies using Playwright and Jest.
• Ensure performance optimization and monitoring with Datadog.
• Lead phased migration from legacy systems to modern frontend architecture.
• Incorporate user feedback and real-world retail workflows into UI improvements.
