Monks is seeking a Senior AI Automation Engineer to design agent orchestration layers and integrate LLMs for complex business workflows. You will work with clients, product teams, and engineers to turn abstract requirements into production-ready AI solutions.

You’ll build stateful orchestration, manage next-best-action decisions, and ensure robustness with guardrails and observability. Strong TS/Node.js and AWS expertise are expected, with English proficiency and agile consulting experience.

Formación

• 5+ years shipping production software.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic apps with tool-calling, structured outputs, RAG, and prompt iteration.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js, or Python-based engineering.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks and provider SDKs (Anthropic/OpenAI/Writer.ai).
• Experience designing scalable systems on AWS.
• Ability to parse, extract, validate and structure unstructured data.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build agent orchestration layers, including workflow state, event-driven execution, and next-best-action logic.
• Integrate LLMs through provider-agnostic layers using platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, Writer.ai.
• Implement structured outputs, tool-calling, retries, guardrails, and model routing strategies.
• Transform unstructured inputs into reliable, actionable data.
• Build human-in-the-loop approval workflows for high-impact decisions.
• Establish evaluation loops to measure agent quality and improve system behavior.
• Identify and address non-deterministic failure modes via testing and observability.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, client, and domain stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Use AI coding agents as part of the development workflow.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to executives and non-technical audiences.
