Omnicom Global Solutions Colombia seeks a Senior Accountant to apply GAAP, prepare timely financial statements, and manage monthly close for multiple units. You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses while ensuring SOX compliance and accurate revenue recognition.

Collaboration with staff and clients is essential. The role requires a strong Excel proficiency, experience with D365, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced agency environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred but not required.
• 6+ years’ experience in managing financial systems, budgets, financial reporting, and data analysis.
• Understanding of US GAAP with an emphasis on revenue recognition.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat (PDF).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Skilled at working independently and problem-solving.
• Confident in ability to interact with staff and clients.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, reports and associated schedules in a timely manner to meet monthly accounting reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and submit journal entries to ensure financial statements are maintained in compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and organize management reports, account reconciliations and analysis of various operating units, departments, and clients.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.
• Review and approve purchasing card transactions in the credit card banking portal to ensure project allocations and receipts are identified.
• Assist with revenue reporting to determine monthly accruals and deferrals based on client contract agreements.
• Assist with forecasting by updating and actualizing monthly budget files and loading to OneStream and Cognos analytic tool for three business units.
• Prepare monthly variance analyses
• Process and provide client fee estimation requests
• Prepare internal and external audit documentation
• Prepare working capital analyses in collaboration with Billers (AR Collections & WIP)
• Manage credit grade requests for new clients and vendors (Credit Voyager)
• Manage multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities in a collaborative team environment while prioritizing customer service
• Review and approve monthly Sales & Use tax calculations and payments
• Backup for offshore Accounts Payable team during local holiday time-off
