BITE Industrial Automation Solutions S.A.S in Bogotá, Colombia, seeks a Robotics Engineer/ Specialist or Technician to deploy, manage and troubleshoot fleets of autonomous robots, optimizing order fulfillment and ensuring smooth collaboration between automated systems and human operators.

Responsibilities include maintaining robots, performing repairs, calibrations, firmware setup, and updating routes/maps to boost facility throughput.

Formación

• Degree in mechanical, industrial, robotics, electrical, or software engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AGV/AMR/ACR solutions is advantageous.
• Familiarity with WMS and PLC systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Field experience in warehouse automation and material handling is required.
• Basic understanding of VPNs, firewalls, and routers.
• Excellent communication and English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsabilidades

As a Robotics Engineer, Specialist, or Technician, your responsibilities will include deploying, managing, and troubleshooting fleets of self-navigating robots, optimizing order fulfillment, and ensuring seamless collaboration between automated hardware and human operators.

Projects might necessitate managing daily operations through robot management software connected to the warehouse management system (WMS).

This role also involves periodically maintaining and repairing mobile robots. You will engage in hands‑on mechanical and electrical repairs, sensor calibrations, and battery maintenance. Troubleshooting tasks include diagnosing software issues, navigation problems, and Wi‑Fi connectivity challenges on the warehouse floor. As part of process optimization, you will modify robot travel routes, update maps, and adjust workstation nodes to enhance facility throughput.

Skills and Background

• Possess a degree in mechanical, industrial, robotics, electrical, or software engineering.
• OR have equivalent experience that provides the knowledge typically acquired through such a degree.
• Experience in implementing AGV, ACR, or AMR solutions is advantageous.
• Familiarity with WMS and PLC systems.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Field experience in warehouse automation, material handling equipment, and warehouse operations is required.
• Basic understanding of VPNs, firewalls, and routers.
• Possess an analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time.
