SoftServe is seeking a senior robotics architect to lead end-to-end solutions across mobile robots, arms, drones and AMRs, collaborating with AI, cloud, and embedded teams in Colombia.

You will define technical architecture, implement ROS2 standards, evaluate sensing and localization tech, and drive production-ready systems from PoCs to deployment.

Formación

• Experience in robotics system architecture and end-to-end design.
• Strong C++/Python production-grade software experience.
• Expert ROS2; standards and best practices.
• Hands-on robotics domains across mobile robots, arms, drones.
• Deep SLAM, sensor fusion, localization and planning knowledge.
• Experience with simulation tools (Isaac Sim, Gazebo).
• Knowledge of cloud/IoT and embedded ecosystems.

Responsabilidades

• Define and own the technical architecture for complex robotics solutions across domains (mobile robots, robotic arms, drones, AMRs).
• Design scalable, reusable integration frameworks connecting robotics systems with cloud platforms and enterprise ecosystems.
• Lead end-to-end delivery: from prototyping and PoCs to production-ready systems.
• Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices across robotics teams.
• Evaluate, select, and evolve technologies, tools, and platforms within the robotics stack.
• Drive research in emerging robotics trends and translate insights into practical architectural decisions.
• Architect perception, SLAM, planning, control, and multi-robot coordination systems.
• Ensure integration of hardware and software, including sensors, actuators, real-time systems, and electromechanical components.
• Oversee simulation and validation using tools such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AI, cloud, embedded, product) to align technical solutions with business goals.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics, AI, and real-world hardware, where solutions go beyond simulation into practical application. The team is involved not only in building new capabilities but also in retrofitting existing systems with intelligent components, bringing innovation to already deployed equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in robotics system architecture and end-to-end solution design
• Expert proficiency in C++ and/or Python, building production-grade robotics software
• Strong experience with ROS2, including defining standards and best practices
• Hands-on experience across robotics domains (mobile robots, arms, drones, autonomous systems)
• Deep knowledge of SLAM, sensor fusion (LiDAR, IMU, vision, radar, GPS), localization, mapping, and motion planning (e.g., MoveIt2)
• Experience with simulation environments (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar)
• Strong background in control systems, real-time computing, and hardware-software co-design
• Familiarity with cloud and IoT ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including deployment pipelines
• Knowledge of industrial/embedded ecosystems (ARM, STM32, RTOS, PLC, SCADA)
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset with solid mathematical foundations
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven experience in technical pre-sales (solution design, workshops, client engagement)
• Leadership experience, mentoring engineers, and guiding technical direction
