SoftServe is seeking a senior robotics architect to lead architecture across mobile robots, drones, arms, and AMRs, integrating cloud platforms and edge devices.

You will own end-to-end delivery from prototyping to production, define standards, guide technology choices, and collaborate with AI, cloud, embedded teams to align solutions with business goals. The role combines robotics, AI, and real-world hardware in a hands-on, impactful position.

Formación

• Proven experience in robotics system architecture and end-to-end design.
• Expert proficiency in C++ and/or Python for production-grade robotics software.
• Strong experience with ROS2 and defining standards.
• Hands-on robotics experience across mobile robots, arms, drones, autonomous systems.
• Deep knowledge of SLAM, sensor fusion, localization, mapping, and motion planning.
• Experience with simulation environments like Isaac Sim or Gazebo.
• Strong background in control systems and real-time computing.
• Familiarity with cloud and IoT ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) and deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of embedded ecosystems (ARM, STM32, RTOS, PLC, SCADA).
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset; excellent communication.
• Proven experience in technical pre-sales and client engagements.
• Leadership experience mentoring engineers.

About The Role

In this role, you will join a long‑term initiative in collaboration with a globally recognized industry leader. The project focuses on advancing physical AI and multi‑fleet management systems, aimed at significantly enhancing the performance and efficiency of outdoor vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics, AI, and real‑world hardware, where solutions go beyond simulation into practical application. The team is involved not only in building new capabilities but also in retrofitting existing systems with intelligent components, bringing innovation to already deployed equipment.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical architecture for complex robotics solutions across domains (mobile robots, robotic arms, drones, AMRs)
• Design scalable, reusable integration frameworks connecting robotics systems with cloud platforms and enterprise ecosystems
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery: from prototyping and PoCs to production‑ready systems
• Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices across robotics teams
• Evaluate, select, and evolve technologies, tools, and platforms within the robotics stack
• Drive research in emerging robotics trends and translate insights into practical architectural decisions
• Architect perception, SLAM, planning, control, and multi‑robot coordination systems
• Ensure integration of hardware and software, including sensors, actuators, real‑time systems, and electromechanical components
• Oversee simulation and validation using tools such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (AI, cloud, embedded, product) to align technical solutions with business goals

Requirements

• Proven experience in robotics system architecture and end‑to‑end solution design
• Expert proficiency in C++ and/or Python, building production‑grade robotics software
• Strong experience with ROS2, including defining standards and best practices
• Hands‑on experience across robotics domains (mobile robots, arms, drones, autonomous systems)
• Deep knowledge of SLAM, sensor fusion (LiDAR, IMU, vision, radar, GPS), localization, mapping, and motion planning (e.g., MoveIt2)
• Experience with simulation environments (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar)
• Strong background in control systems, real‑time computing, and hardware‑software co‑design
• Familiarity with cloud and IoT ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including deployment pipelines
• Knowledge of industrial/embedded ecosystems (ARM, STM32, RTOS, PLC, SCADA)
• Strong analytical and systems‑thinking mindset with solid mathematical foundations
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Proven experience in technical pre‑sales (solution design, workshops, client engagement)
• Leadership experience, mentoring engineers, and guiding technical direction
