Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers to join a fully remote, hourly contract role in the Coffee Region tech community. You will build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code, reviewing AI outputs and providing expert feedback to enhance safety, reliability, and quality.

Flexible, asynchronous work fits writers who code and think clearly. We welcome candidates who can write clean code, explain reasoning, and work 10–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages and able to reason about code clearly.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across languages and problem domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works or doesn’t.
• Design coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously with flexible hours.
