Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Software Engineer to help shape AI-generated code across languages. This fully remote hourly contract role involves writing, reviewing, and refining code, and providing expert feedback to improve AI coding assistants for real-world software projects.

You will work hands-on with AI outputs, ensure correctness, performance, and safety, and design prompts to stress-test AI capabilities. With 10–40 hours/week, you’ll work independently with flexible hours from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to read, write, and reason about code clearly.
• Experience with code review, debugging, and explaining technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across multiple languages and domains.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works or doesn’t.
• Design challenging prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
