AECOM in Bogotá, Colombia, seeks a Senior Engineer – Water, Hydraulics and Drainage to develop and apply 1D/2D hydraulic models for wastewater, stormwater and urban drainage projects. You will calibrate and validate InfoWorks ICM models and translate results into practical design recommendations.

The role requires strong technical reporting, cross‑disciplinary collaboration, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Formación

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
At least 4 years of professional experience.
Advanced proficiency in InfoWorks ICM (model build, 1D/2D integration, RTC/controls, calibration/verification).
Proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D (or equivalent).
Hands‑on experience in stormwater and wastewater system modelling and analysis.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

Plan and maintain 1D/2D InfoWorks ICM models for wastewater, stormwater, and urban drainage networks.
Execute model development, calibration, and verification using flow data, SCADA, and asset data.
Assess and optimize system performance for CSOs, pumping stations, and flood mitigation schemes.
Develop modelling plans, QA/QC checklists, and ensure version control.
Translate model outputs into practical engineering recommendations and design inputs.
Prepare clear technical reports, memos, and presentations in English and Spanish for clients and regulators.
