Job summary

Bluelight is a leading software consultancy seeking a senior backend engineer to design and deliver high-quality applications. You will build low-latency AWS API services, RESTful interfaces, and secure multi-tenant data models while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Required 5+ years of backend development, expertise in Node.js/TypeScript/JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and strong testing/CI/CD skills. Remote work is available with overlap to US business hours and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency AWS API services and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations, PostgreSQL/AuroraDB (including RLS), and secure multi-tenant design.
• Proficient SQL, migrations, React basics, testing, CI/CD, and full-stack collaboration.
• Ability to align with US business hours and deliver with ownership and reliability.
• Bachelor's degree required; strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality backend services in Node.js/TypeScript.
