Job summary

Lifted, an Upwork Company, is seeking an experienced Scrum Manager to lead software engineering and product delivery teams. You will independently run core Scrum practices, partner with technical and product leaders, and help manage planned work alongside ongoing operational needs.

This remote contract role requires at least 3 years of Scrum Master experience, strong facilitation, servant leadership, and risk management skills, with availability for 40 hours per week across LATAM time zones.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience supporting software teams.
• Proven ability to execute core Scrum Master responsibilities independently.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Servant leadership mindset with coaching approach over strict process.
• Ability to articulate business value of team work.
• Proactive risk identification and remediation planning.
• Experience driving continuous process improvement with leaders.
• Experience coordinating across Engineering, Product, Business teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives.
• Partner with technical and product leaders to improve Scrum frameworks.
• Monitor capacity and manage unplanned sprint work impact.
• Facilitate team discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Coach teams in Agile/Scrum while keeping processes lightweight.
• Identify risks and define actionable mitigation plans.
• Reduce friction across stakeholders through collaboration.
• Coordinate dependencies with other Scrum Masters and forums.
• Maintain impediment logs, roadmaps, dependencies, dashboards.
• Integrate BAU work into backlogs and sprints alongside initiatives.
