Contec Americas Inc. is seeking a Buyer/Planner to support our U.S.-based manufacturing operations from Colombia, Costa Rica, or Mexico. The role combines purchasing and material planning with supplier coordination, shortages, and inbound logistics.

This remote position requires strong ERP/MRP experience and effective English communication across distributed teams. You will develop material plans, issue POs, monitor delivery, and ensure material availability for production.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant experience in purchasing, production planning, materials, supply chain, manufacturing, or a similar role
• Experience with ERP/MRP in manufacturing or supply-chain environments
• Knowledge of purchasing, material planning, inventory, and supplier management
• Ability to read BOMs, lead times, planning signals, and supplier commitments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent English communication with suppliers and international teams
• Ability to work independently and coordinate priorities across distributed teams
• Must have enough overlap with US location timing

Responsabilidades

• Review demand, forecasts, inventory, and MRP recommendations to determine material requirements
• Develop and maintain material plans for assigned products
• Issue and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers
• Confirm supplier commitments for price, quantity, and delivery
• Monitor material availability and resolve shortages
• Coordinate inbound shipments and expedite when needed
• Maintain purchasing and planning data in ERP/MRP
• Support production planning and work orders as assigned
• Assist with engineering changes, substitutions, and new products
• Identify material and delivery risks early and coordinate corrective actions
• Communicate with suppliers and US/global teams
• Participate in supply, shortage, backlog, and reviews
• Support improvements to purchasing, planning, master data, and supplier management processes
