BairesDev is seeking a Backend Engineer (Java) to design and develop microservices and REST APIs using the JVM ecosystem. You will contribute to scalable server-side logic within Spring Boot as part of a global, 100% remote team.

The role requires 4+ years in backend software engineering, strong Java 11+ and Spring Boot experience, and proficiency in Docker, Kafka, and JPA/Hibernate. English fluency is essential for collaboration across distributed teams.

Formación

• 4+ years of software engineering experience focusing on backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 11+ (17/21 preferred) and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of JPA/Hibernate and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kafka.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement high-performance microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Manage data persistence and complex queries with JPA/Hibernate and SQL databases.
• Develop and maintain real-time data pipelines and messaging with Apache Kafka.
• Ensure code quality and reliability with unit testing (JUnit).
• Containerize applications and manage deployments using Docker.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and optimize large-scale integrations.
