Intellias Colombia SAS is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, develop, and operate scalable Spring Boot microservices in a distributed architecture. You will work on event-driven data pipelines, complex datasets, and data workflows in a 100% remote role from Colombia.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in backend development with Java, Spring Boot, Docker, AWS, and database expertise. Strong English communication and ability to overlap 6 hours with US CT are required.

Formación

• Must design, develop and maintain backend services in production
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
• Strong SQL skills and database design expertise
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes basics is a plus
• Experience with AWS core services for cloud-native apps
• Exposure to microservices and MVC patterns
• Proficient in JPA / Hibernate
• Proficient in testing with JUnit and Cucumber
• Familiar with GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows
• Good written and spoken English in a fast-paced Agile environment

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Spring Boot microservices in a distributed architecture
• Build and operate event-driven data pipelines for streaming data
• Work with complex datasets for data analysis, transformation, validation, and optimization
• Develop and maintain advanced SQL queries and data workflows
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and stakeholders to solve data challenges
• Contribute to data warehousing and analytics initiatives, including Snowflake where applicable
• Develop and maintain robust internal/external APIs
• Work with AWS to design reliable, scalable backend systems
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL and DynamoDB schemas for performance and integrity
• Implement automated testing strategies (unit/integration)
• Maintain GitHub Actions pipelines and CI/CD
• Ensure system reliability via monitoring, logging, and observability
• Collaborate effectively in a distributed team and own features end-to-end
