Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Global Senior Accountant Controllership for teleworking with the requirement that candidates be located in Colombia.

The role partners with T&O and corporate accounting to manage fixed assets and global supply chain accounting, providing leadership to controllership teams and ensuring GAAP compliance across regions. The ideal candidate has a BS in Accounting or Finance, strong US GAAP knowledge (CPA a plus), 3–5 years in accounting/controllership, and

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; CPA is a plus.
• English proficiency; non-native speakers should have high-level English (C1-C2).
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in auditing, accounting, controllership or related financial roles.
• Experience in a U.S. multinational public company and working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF).
• Experience with data analytics tools such as SAP, Hyperion HFM, Alteryx is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the T&O business and Corporate Accounting on various accounting matters.
• Oversee global accounting for Fixed Assets and Global Supply Chain Processes Accounting.
• Provide leadership and direction to controllership teams in Global T&O for assigned areas.
• Provide guidance and training on fixed asset policies and procedures to controllers, engineers, sourcing analysts, and finance staff.
• Enforce fixed asset additions, dispositions and transfers per policies; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Ensure accuracy of Fixed Asset Requisitions and CIP aging analytics; report monthly.
