Job summary

Supabase is hiring a dedicated Platform Engineer to own and operate the Multigres deployment stack for distributed Postgres. You will build the Multigres Operator in Go, design cloud deployment patterns for Kubernetes across clouds, and ensure reliable storage, networking, and tooling for scalable clusters.

The role emphasizes production-grade reliability, strong Kubernetes expertise, and collaboration with SRE and database teams to deliver robust deployment experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong systems programming in Go and production-grade operators.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise with CRDs and cloud-managed services (EKS, GKE, AKS).
• Database deployment knowledge including backup/restore, replication, and high availability.
• Distributed systems experience focusing on resilience and consensus protocols.
• Cloud infrastructure background with IaC tooling (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Production operations mindset with observability, monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Multigres Operator for distributed Postgres deployments.
• Architect robust cloud deployment patterns for Kubernetes platforms like EKS.
• Manage storage and networking layers including CSI drivers and PVs across clouds.
• Develop deployment tooling for provisioning, scaling, and managing Multigres clusters.
• Ensure operational excellence with monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with DB engineers, SRE, and product teams to deliver smooth deployments.
