Job summary

World Business Lenders (WBL) is seeking a Data Engineer on a contract/consultant basis. The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, migrating legacy systems, and ensuring data quality across cloud environments.

Applicants should be proficient in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT processes, with a strong emphasis on data warehousing and collaboration across teams. Responsibilities include automation of data workflows, migration planning, and ensuring robust data validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 4–7 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and environments.
• Strong SQL skills with data modeling for data warehouses.
• Strong Python skills for building data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Improve data pipelines with automation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
