BairesDev is seeking a Clojure Engineer to design and build high-performance applications using Clojure on the JVM. You will apply functional programming principles and a Lisp-based syntax to deliver robust, data-oriented systems emphasizing immutability and concurrency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience with a focus on functional programming.
• Proven expertise in developing applications using Clojure and the JVM ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of LISP, immutability, and data-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with REPL-driven development and functional architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services and applications using Clojure and LISP.
• Utilize REPL-driven development to prototype, test, and refine code with immediate feedback.
• Architect data-oriented solutions with a strong focus on persistent, immutable data structures.
• Integrate Clojure applications seamlessly with existing Java libraries and JVM infrastructure.
• Optimize system performance and manage multi-threaded designs using Clojure's unique concurrency models.
