BairesDev is seeking a Platform Engineer (Big Data) to build and operate large-scale data platforms that support analytics and processing workloads. You will bridge infrastructure and data applications, ensuring performance, security, and reliability at enterprise scale.

The role emphasizes Hadoop-based architectures, Spark/Kafka optimization, and collaboration with engineering teams. 100% remote with USD or local currency compensation.

Formación

• Advanced English proficiency and strong communication abilities.
• 4+ years of Platform/Big Data/Systems Engineering experience.
• Proven track record building and operating large-scale Hadoop-based platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and maintain production-grade big data environments using Hadoop ecosystem.
• Optimize Spark and Kafka for high-throughput, low-latency data streams.
• Manage and scale distributed storage/processing with HBase, NiFi, Ozone.
• Perform Linux system administration and tuning for reliable infrastructure.
• Implement observability/monitoring to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with teams to define platform standards and deployments.
