BairesDev, a leader in remote tech projects, is seeking a Software Engineer (Apache HBase) to design and operate high-performance NoSQL data solutions. You will build scalable HBase schemas, manage clusters, and ensure real-time access to large datasets within the Hadoop ecosystem.

You\'ll collaborate with global data teams, optimize regions and compaction, and contribute to a reliable data storage layer. This fully remote role offers flexible hours, competitive USD or local currency

Formación

4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Big Data.
Proven expertise in developing and operating Apache HBase for real-time data access.
Proficiency in managing HBase regions, compaction processes, and schema design.
Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and the Hadoop ecosystem.
Strong understanding of wide-column store architectures and performance tuning.

Responsabilidades

Design and implement scalable HBase schemas to support low-latency read/write operations.
Manage and optimize HBase clusters, including region servers, master nodes, and ZooKeeper coordination.
Monitor and tune performance through effective management of compactions, splits, and memory settings.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to data consistency, region server health, and cluster availability.
Collaborate with data platform teams to integrate HBase with the broader Big Data ecosystem.
