Backblaze is hiring a Software Engineer to join our backend team and help evolve the storage platform powering B2 Object Storage and Computer Backup. You will design, implement, and optimize services that store customer data across thousands of servers, with an emphasis on durability and throughput.

You will work in a remote-friendly environment, applying OOP and modern tooling to deliver scalable software.

Formación

• 4+ years of OOP in an enterprise environment.
• Experience building large-scale software systems running on thousands of servers.
• Professional experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini, Cursor, Claude Code).

Responsabilidades

• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to clear design documents.
• Contribute to the maintenance of existing applications and participate in the implementation of new features.
• Instrument services, develop metrics and drive durability and performance improvements.
• Help shape coding methodologies and best practices.
