Job summary

BairesDev is hiring a Backend Engineer (Node) to design and maintain server-side apps in the Node.js ecosystem. You will build scalable REST and GraphQL APIs and support event-driven services, ensuring seamless integration with frontend components.

The role requires strong Node.js/TypeScript expertise, database experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and AWS deployment know-how. Excellent English skills are essential. This is a 100% remote position with flexible hours and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Backend/Software Engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in building scalable APIs and event-driven services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience designing REST or GraphQL APIs with asynchronous patterns.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL or MongoDB databases.
• Experience deploying on AWS using Lambda or ECS.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and optimize event-driven services and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Interact with PostgreSQL or MongoDB to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Deploy and maintain cloud-based services using AWS Lambda or ECS.
• Write unit and integration tests using Jest or Vitest to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture requirements.
