Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Backend Engineer (Node) to design and maintain server-side applications in the Node.js ecosystem, focusing on high-performance APIs and event-driven services that connect frontend and backend components.

You will build REST and GraphQL APIs with Node.js and TypeScript, work with PostgreSQL or MongoDB, deploy on AWS Lambda or ECS, and collaborate with global teams in a fully remote setting. Excellent English is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend experience in engineering roles.
• Proven API development with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB databases.
• Experience deploying on AWS (Lambda or ECS).
• Excellent English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js.
• Build event-driven services and asynchronous processing.
• Manage data with PostgreSQL or MongoDB for performance.
• Deploy and maintain cloud services on AWS Lambda/ECS.
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest or Vitest.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture.
