BairesDev is hiring an experienced AOSP Engineer to customize and optimize the Android Open Source Project for proprietary hardware. You will operate at the intersection of low-level systems programming and the Android framework to ensure a robust OS across devices, working fully remotely.

You will design core system services, develop HALs, build ROMs, and debug kernel-adjacent components while collaborating with hardware teams to deliver stable platform software.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in AOSP engineering, low-level Android development, or systems programming.
• Deep expertise in AOSP internals, including system services, framework modifications, and custom ROMs.
• Hands-on experience with HAL development and integrating device drivers into the Android stack.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, and Kotlin for core system development and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel fundamentals and hardware-software interaction.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and implement core Android system services and framework components.
• Develop and integrate HALs to enable communication with hardware.
• Build and maintain AOSP-based ROMs and system images for diverse device targets.
• Optimize and debug low-level system performance, including kernel-adjacent components and device drivers.
• Implement device-specific customizations and system-level utilities using Java, Kotlin, and C++.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to define system software requirements and ensure platform stability.
