Blacksmith Agency LLC is hiring an AI Software Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. You will build production systems on top of AI models, focusing on automation rather than research.

In this remote role, you will work with a US-based team. Bring 2+ years of Python/Node.js experience, familiarity with LangChain or LangGraph, and strong API integration skills to deliver reliable automation across our tech stack.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software in Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on with LangChain or LangGraph.
• Experience integrating OpenAI or Anthropic APIs.
• REST APIs, webhooks, and cloud deployment basics.
• Proficient in English for async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build production systems on top of AI models and automation layers.
• Develop agent workflows with LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Create internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development processes.
• Implement automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and internal CMS.
