Job summary

Pencil is seeking an Agent Architect to design the brain of Pencil—the agent logic, tool-calling structures, and evaluation loops powering our creative engine. You’ll bridge creative intent and machine execution across text, image, and video, building core systems and client solutions for global brands.

You will architect scalable frameworks, design agent collaborations, and lead complex client deployments with a focus on reliability, brand alignment, and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct GenAI experience with LLMs and multimodal models.
• Systems thinking: ability to design end-to-end architectures.
• Strong technical literacy in Python, JSON, API docs; familiarity with orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect multi-agent workflows and task decomposition.
• Implement evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance at scale.
• Develop reusable agents and prompt libraries for scalable SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with AI Eng and Product to decide prompting, RAG, or fine-tuning.
• Lead client deployments translating creative briefs into deterministic AI workflows.
