Rapyd is seeking a Regional Tax Manager based in Bogotá to lead and scale the tax function across seven LATAM jurisdictions on a hybrid model.

You will oversee corporate income tax, VAT, withholding, and transfer pricing, partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations, and develop the tax team across Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru.

Formación

• 8–10 years of professional tax experience leading and developing tax teams.
• Deep knowledge of Colombian tax laws (CIT, VAT, withholding tax, ICA) and LATAM jurisdictions (Argentina, Chile, Peru).
• Analytical with outstanding communication, able to translate tax regulations into clear business recommendations.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee end-to-end tax function across seven LATAM jurisdictions.
• Advise Finance, Legal, Product, and Operations on tax implications of new products and cross-border transactions.
• Manage regional transfer pricing documentation, compliance, intercompany planning and tax initiatives.
• Direct regional tax audits, disputes, and interactions with local tax authorities.
• Develop and coach Tax Team Leader in Colombia and Tax Managers in Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
• Drive tax process improvements, automation, budgeting, forecasting, and global tax reporting.

Role Overview

Rapyd is a unified payments, payouts, and fintech platform serving markets worldwide. We are building a global team to support rapid expansion across key regions.

As the Regional Tax Manager, you will lead and scale Rapyd’s tax function across seven Latin American countries. Based in Bogotá on a hybrid model, you will report to the VP of Global Tax and oversee a dedicated team of regional tax professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead Regional Tax Operations: Oversee the end‑to‑end tax function across seven LATAM jurisdictions, managing corporate income tax, indirect taxes, withholding taxes, and tax compliance.
• Drive Strategy & Business Partnering: Serve as the primary tax advisor to Finance, Legal, Product, and Operations, reviewing the tax implications of new products, cross‑border transactions, merchant onboarding, and supplier agreements.
• Own Transfer Pricing & Compliance: Manage the regional transfer pricing framework, including documentation, compliance, intercompany transactions, and tax planning initiatives.
• Manage Audits & Governance: Direct all regional tax audits, disputes, and interactions with local tax authorities, preparing robust technical positions and defense files.
• Build & Elevate the Team: Manage and develop direct reports (Tax Team Leader in Colombia; Tax Managers in Argentina, Chile, and Peru) and coordinate regional external advisors.
• Process Optimization: Drive tax process improvements, automation, and operational excellence across the region while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and global tax reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Law, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Experienced Tax Leader: 8–10 years of professional tax experience with a proven track record of leading and developing tax teams in regional or multinational environments.
• LATAM & Colombian Tax Expert: Deep, practical knowledge of Colombian tax laws (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and ICA) and experience navigating tax frameworks across additional LATAM jurisdictions (Argentina, Chile, and Peru).
• Strategic Business Partner: Highly analytical with outstanding communication skills, able to translate complex tax regulations into clear, commercial recommendations for cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Bilingual Communicator: Fully fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) and able to collaborate effectively with local teams and global leadership.

Nice to Have

• A licensed tax lawyer qualification.
• A Master’s degree in Taxation.
• Prior experience in the FinTech, payments, or financial services industries.
• A combination of Big Four consulting experience and an in‑house tax role in a high‑growth company.
