The position is a key member of the accounting team and will report directly to the Tax Manager. The Tax Accountant will have ambition, energy, and expertise to advise and assist in all tax-related items for the Company. The position will collaborate with both third-party tax advisors and internal teams to ensure all tax compliance targets are met.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and eager to learn Tax Accountant who will assist in implementing tax procedures and calculating tax liabilities and accruals. We are seeking a self-starter with good problem-solving skills to help us adapt in a continuously changing tax environment.
Assist in coordinating compliance with international, national, and local tax regulations.
Support the preparation and administration of federal, state, and foreign tax returns.
Maintain communication with external tax advisors and accountants to ensure accurate tax provision and filings.
Respond to and support tax inquiries and audits, including federal, state, and international tax matters.
Calculate tax liability accruals during month-end close.
Monitor tax return and payment deadlines, ensuring all required documentation is submitted on time.
Collaborate with the accounting team to gather and analyze financial data supporting tax compliance.
Participate in cross-functional initiatives with accounting, legal, and international teams to support tax planning strategies.
On a typical day, you will act as the main point of contact for external tax service providers, providing the necessary financial information for tax provisions and returns.
You will:
Calculate monthly tax accruals
Prepare sales and use tax returns through Avalara
Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of tax-related GL accounts
Work closely with accounting, legal, and other internal teams to gain a deep understanding of the business and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
