Job summary

Prometeo Talent is seeking a QA Engineer to own product quality from design through release, building reliable test automation and improving testing strategies. You will ensure quality is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.

This hands-on role treats test automation as core engineering; quality is a shared responsibility, and reliability is a release requirement. 3+ years in software quality engineering and strong JS/TS skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software quality engineering, test automation, or software development.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills with maintainable test code.
• Hands-on experience building UI test automation with Playwright, and API test automation in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience running and maintaining tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced English level.

Responsibilities

About the role

We’re looking for a QA Engineer to take ownership of product quality from design through release. You’ll play a key role in building reliable test automation, improving testing strategies, and ensuring quality is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.

This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who treats test automation as a core engineering practice, quality as a shared responsibility, and reliability as a release requirement.

What You’ll Do

1. Test automation and engineering

   Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and suites across UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing. Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and optimize their stability, speed, and maintainability. Build tools and resources that facilitate testing across the team.

2. Strategy and planning
   Define testing strategies and plans based on risk, coverage, and release timelines. Participate in requirements, design, and code reviews, establish acceptance criteria, and determine which tests should be automated versus performed manually.

3. Testing and release quality
   Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing; identify, document, and track defects. Contribute to performance and security testing, assess quality before releases, and analyze production incidents to prevent recurring issues.

4. Reporting
   Monitor and report quality metrics, including test coverage, defect trends, and pipeline health. Promote testing best practices, mentor engineers, document processes, and recommend continuous improvements to tools and methodologies.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development.

• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, including object-oriented design and maintainable test code.

• Hands‑on experience building UI test automation with Playwright, and API test automation in

  JavaScript/TypeScript

• Experience running and maintaining tests in CI/CD pipelines

• Advanced English level
