Job summary

Roca Alliances is seeking QA Automation Engineers in Medellín to build and own the partner portal's quality practice from the ground up. You will establish the test strategy, implement API contract testing, and drive end-to-end UI automation across a React/NX stack with a TypeScript/Node backend.

You will work with the US and India teams, evaluate AI testing tools, and ensure testing coverage for critical flows like authentication and billing while respecting data privacy.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in test automation for web applications and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress, and API testing tools.
• Understanding of API contract testing (Pact or OpenAPI-based).
• Experience testing authentication flows (OIDC, SAML, JWT) and complex business logic.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding and testing tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) including prompt engineering.
• Experience bringing AI into QA/engineering workflows with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to validate AI output and guard data privacy in AI tools.
• Professional English for working with US and international colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build the portal's test strategy from scratch, including test pyramid, environments, test data, quality gates and reporting.
• Implement API contract testing against OpenAPI specs for BFF, microservices and partner APIs.
• Develop end-to-end UI automation with Playwright or Cypress across React microfrontends.
• Automate end-to-end tests of critical flows: authentication and quoting, contracts and billing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines across Dev, QA, Staging and Production.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to turn acceptance criteria into testable scenarios, and coach engineers on testing.
