Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Automate REST APIs using Postman, Playwright API, or REST Assured.
• Create scalable automation for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to define acceptance criteria and test strategies.
• Track defects with Jira and support production validation.

Job SummaryLocation: Bogota, Colombia - Hybrid (3 days a week)We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in UI and API test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Playwright with TypeScript and API automation testing, with experience building scalable automation frameworks for modern web applications and microservices. The candidate should also have a solid understanding of CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and software quality best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Design and automate REST API test suites using Postman, Playwright API Testing, or REST Assured.
• Create reusable, maintainable, and scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate RESTful APIs, including authentication, request/response validation, error handling, and data integrity.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple applications.
• Perform database validation using SQL queries.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to define acceptance criteria and test strategies.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Analyze test execution results and prepare automation metrics and quality reports.
• Support production validation and root cause analysis of production issues.
• Continuously enhance automation frameworks and testing processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript.
