Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and strengthen vulnerability management across CI/CD pipelines.

You will integrate SAST/DAST/SCA into development workflows, tune security tools to reduce false positives, and provide code-level remediation guidance in Java and Python while collaborating with product teams. The role offers flextime with remote and office options, exposure to Fortune 500 and top product companies, and opportunities

Qualifications

3–5 years of commercial experience in software engineering.
Proficient in Python for automation and scripting.
Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools and vulnerability scoring frameworks.
AppSec tooling expertise or security architecture knowledge.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete complex scripting tasks.

Responsibilities

Pipeline integration: integrate SAST/DAST/SCA into CI/CD pipelines.
Security data triage to reduce false positives and improve alert quality.
Baseline automation: develop automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
Code-level remediation guidance with product teams in Java and Python.
