The Project Controls Analyst position supports our Water & Wastewater initiatives across Canada. You will manage project budgets, cost forecasting, and variance analysis to provide clarity and control for multi-project delivery teams.

• 3-5 years of experience in Project Controls, with Cost Analyst experience.
• Experience in engineering, construction or comparable sectors is an asset.
• Understanding of interdependencies across multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in project management, finance or business.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Project Controls service to multiple project delivery teams and multiple projects.

• Support operational objectives and ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Identify risks, constraints and opportunities with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project budgets and performance metrics.
• Manage subconsultants including proposals, agreements, purchase orders and invoices.
• Develop, track and monitor budgets and forecasts on a regular basis.
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure budgets are correctly maintained and invoicing is timely.
• Review project deliverables to ensure requirements are fulfilled.
• Attend internal and client meetings and maintain communications with clients and project teams.
• Review contracts to identify out-of-scope tasks or client requests.

The Opportunity – Project Controls Analyst

Your Impact Starts Here – As a Project Controls Analyst supporting our Water & Wastewater team across multiple Provinces in Canada. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of the infrastructure that sustains communities. You’ll help teams bring clarity, predictability, and structure to projects that ensure safe, sustainable water systems for generations to come.

The Project Controls Analyst is responsible for project budget and cost management, forecasting, and variance analysis, while supporting operational objectives and ensuring timely and accurate billing. This role partners with cross functional business sector to actively identify risks, constraints, opportunities.

Your Impact

• Provide Project Controls service to multiple project delivery teams and multiple projects.
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of operational issues and effectively work with and support the project team including assisting with compiling and regularly updating the forecast to complete the project.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and progress measurement.
• Perform regular earned value analysis to monitor project health and highlight variance.
• Responsible for preparing and accessing the accuracy of internal/external project reports.
• Manage and maintain an accurate and up to date project budget and performance metrics.
• Manage subconsultants including proposals, agreements, purchase orders, invoices, schedules, and deliverables
• Evaluate current project status to ensure most accurate forecasts and inclusion of all cost categories.
• Develop controls to ensure that client and corporate procedures are being adhered to, active in continuous improvement.
• Management of change process including preparing change orders and maintaining change logs
• Develop, track, and monitor budgets as well as provide forecasts on a regular basis.
• Proactively identify potential variations.
• Coordinate with Finance, communicate clear instructions to ensure budgets are correctly maintained in the system and invoicing is done accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review project deliverables to ensure requirements are fulfilled.
• Attend internal and/client meetings as required and maintain communications with clients and project teams.
• Review and understand contract documents and agreements to be able to identify tasks/client requests that are within or out of scope.
• Work with a national team on different time zones.
• Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadlines, manage change. Work on several projects or tasks at once.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be fluent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additionally, would be an asset.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Project Controls; with experience as Cost Analyst.
• Experience in the engineering, construction, or comparable sectors are an asset.
• Understanding of interdependencies across multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience and knowledge is an asset
• Post-secondary diploma or degree (project management, finance or business preferred)
