AECOM's Bogota, Colombia team is seeking a Principal Engineer – Mechanical Engineering (Data Centers) to lead HVAC design focused on chilled water plants, heating and cooling control systems. You will specify, model, and coordinate with BIM teams in Revit and Navisworks to ensure robust deliverables.

The role requires experience in data center environments, a strong grasp of ASHRAE/SMACNA standards, and an ability to work on-site in Bogota with English proficiency.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 6 years of related experience.
• Experience with calculation software such as HAP, Tracer 3d, EESV and/or CYPE.
• Experience in design and analysis of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems for industrial and institutional use.
• Experience performing early project design work, including estimating electrical loads and equipment sizing.
• Basic experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of local and international regulations; English at an intermediate level.

Responsabilidades

• Identify requirements and calculate cooling and heating loads using HAP, Tracer 3d, EESV or CYPE.
• Design chilled water, variable refrigerant, centralized and precision HVAC systems.
• Select equipment and size components; apply ASHRAE and SMACNA standards.
• Prepare specifications, drawings, reports, and technical documents; ensure English clarity.
• Create plant drawings, system architecture, schematics, P&IDs and installation details.
• Model systems in Revit and perform quality reviews of modelled drawings.
