AECOM in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a Structural Engineer with expertise in building design, focusing on data centers or mission-critical facilities. The role involves developing structural models, performing design of concrete and steel systems, and coordinating with architectural and MEP teams to meet high performance requirements.

You will lead technical reviews, ensure QA/QC, and support proposals and client communications.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 6 years of proven structural engineering experience, focusing on concrete and steel designs.
• Solid knowledge of structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Advanced technical English; fluent English.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, Ram Connection, IdeaStatica or similar, and AutoCAD.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in the structural design of buildings in infrastructure projects, including data centers.
• Develop mathematical models, calculations, and calculation reports.
• Design concrete and steel systems for data centers, considering load, vibration, redundancy, and constructability.
• Ensure project goals, milestones, and budgets are met.
• Lead verification on projects confirming the technical approach matches client scope of services.
• Engage with project teams to confirm approach and review deliverables.
• Use client credibility to expand work assignments and discuss scope with clients.
• Develop solutions to complex issues using standard methodologies and define new procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with architects, geotechnical, piping, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure high-quality delivery.
