Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Placement Support professional to ensure accurate, compliant reinsurance placement activities. You will maintain contract records, support premium billing, and prepare key placement documents while coordinating with Broking, Sales, and Compliance teams across regions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 1 year of insurance-related experience, strong analytical skills, andAdvanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup and renewal of contract records with accurate data.
• Analyze client, reinsurer, and placement data for accuracy and completeness.

• Review market security information and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Sanctions to complete checks.
• Prepare and issue placement documentation (cover notes, debit notes, etc.).
• Raise and process premium billing entries per procedures.
• Respond to inquiries from clients, reinsurers, brokers, and internal teams.

Overview

The Placement Support role is responsible for ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely administration of reinsurance placement activities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining placement and contract records, supporting premium billing processes, preparing key placement documentation, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. Working closely with Broking, Sales, Compliance, and servicing teams across multiple regions, the Placement Support professional helps facilitate seamless placement operations while contributing to Gallagher Re's commitment to operational excellence and outstanding client service.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Support the setup and renewal of contract records by compiling and validating information from internal systems.
• Analyze and review client, reinsurer, and placement data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct due diligence activities for new clients and reinsurers, coordinating with internal stakeholders as required.
• Review carrier market security information and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Sanctions teams to complete sanctions screening and regulatory checks.
• Monitor marketing sheets and ensure all approvals, documentation, and compliance requirements are completed.
• Produce reports, statistics, and placement-related data to support reinsurance programs and business operations.
• Maintain electronic placement files in accordance with Gallagher Excellence Model (GEM) standards and best practices.
• Review and interpret reinsurance contracts to ensure accurate system entry and workflow management.
• Create and maintain contract records within transactional broking systems.
• Prepare and issue placement documentation, including cover notes, debit notes, closing instructions, and evidence of cover.
• Raise and process premium billing entries in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
• Respond to and resolve inquiries from clients, reinsurers, brokers, and internal teams.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Insurance, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance, reinsurance, broker support, underwriting support, premium billing, Reinsurance Operations, Insurance Operations, Policy Administration, Account Technician, or related insurance/reinsurance support roles.
• Experience with contract administration, policy documentation, premium processing, or placement support is preferred.
• Knowledge of reinsurance concepts, compliance requirements, and policy/contract review processes is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in a professional environment is required.
• Ability to interpret contracts, policy documents, and financial information accurately.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
