Job summary

Moffatt & Nichol in Bogotá is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the Accounting Group. The role supports payroll processing across Latin America, ensuring accuracy and timeliness under supervision.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years in Latin America payroll, a bachelors in Accounting/Finance/HR, fluent English and Spanish (Portuguese helpful), and experience with ADP Workforce Now or Celergo; willing to work cross-country and travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• 3–6 years of payroll experience (internships acceptable).
• Understanding of payroll principles; exposure to Latin American payroll.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; bilingual English/Spanish or Portuguese.
• English language assessment will be part of the interview.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll data preparation for multiple Latin America countries (e.g., Colombia).
• Enter and maintain employee payroll records (new hires, changes, terminations).
• Assist with timekeeping reviews and elevate discrepancies.
• Generate standard payroll reports and maintain payroll documentation.
• Ensure data accuracy in line with internal procedures and local country requirements.
• Respond to basic payroll inquiries and escalate more complex issues.
• Support audit requests by gathering payroll records.

Qualifications:

• Works independently on well-defined payroll tasks across multiple countries.
