Cubico Sustainable Investments in Colombia seeks an Operations and Maintenance Coordinator to support operational-performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting for the Colombian solar PV portfolio within the asset management team.

You will review performance data, KPIs, and maintenance plans, coordinate OM contractors, and prepare monthly and project-level reports for internal teams and the local partner. Fluency in Spanish and intermediate English are desired, with a strong HSE focus.

Job Description

Cubico is looking for an Operations and Maintenance Coordinator to help support the operational-performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting of renewable energy projects, within the asset management team for Cubico’s Colombian portfolio (currently Solar PV and additional pipeline in coming years).

Cubico is looking for an Operations and Maintenance Coordinator to help support the operational-performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting of renewable energy projects, within the asset management team for Cubico’s Colombian portfolio (currently Solar PV and additional pipeline in coming years).

Key activities include reviewing performance and data monitoring systems, continuously evaluating performance KPIs, and supervising the adequate execution of maintenance activities within the operational portfolio.

The role will be varied and consist of supporting the Asset Management team with detailed analysis of the performance of Cubico’s renewable generation assets with the aim of optimising performance, suggesting the necessary improvements for the maintenance plan, as well as reporting of all relevant operational results both internally in Cubico and externally with our local business partner and relevant stakeholders.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of the Colombian energy generation business.
• Market regulatory knowledge regarding the renewable energy and power generation sector in Colombia.

• Good communication skills - fluent Spanish and intermediate English skills. Medium to high English skills are desirable and a plus.
• A passion for HSE and a good awareness of HSE legislation and standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Day-to-day tasks for reviewing operations, performance, and data monitoring systems, and continuous evaluation of performance KPIs, real-time monitoring, ad hoc analysis, and technical reporting of generation-based assets. Reviewing the configuration of systems and KPIs and suggesting improvements.
• Shall execute detailed performance analysis of generation assets, identifying main factors for potential energy generation improvement and minimization of losses, analysing the maintenance plan, suggested improvement activities or needs to get the best efficiency of the equipment’s.
• Contractual PR test, availability guarantee verifications, execution maintenance plan; and other related performance guarantees.
• Mapping of actual energy loss diagrams/breakdown and comparison against budgeted profiles/EYAs and suggesting actions for reducing gaps, as well as any need for updating generation profiles and thus liaising with central Performance team.
• Detailed reconciliation of monthly generation values and expected losses.
• Optimization analysis including evaluation of new methods and technologies for technical and financial improvements in asset performance.
• Maintenance plan supervision of execution from OM contractors, checking full workflow cycle from Maintenance plans, from planning activities to monitoring execution, closing and review process. Suggesting optimizations for reducing downtimes and OPEX savings.
• Following up on action plans from OM meetings and related plans for individual assets.
• Working directly with AM team in internal and external reporting activities including Cubico internal Mercatus workflows, as well as JV level reporting.
• Supporting workflow in Mercatus reporting, technical performance of the assets.
• Prepare regular portfolio and project level reports highlighting HSE and commercial performance, risks, and technical issues, including calculation of all relevant KPIs.
• Support the implementation and continuously improve local asset management systems and processes consistent with Cubico’s global policies and standards.
• Maintain a positive safety culture and ensure Asset Management activities are undertaken in accordance with local legislation and Cubico’s HSE policies.
• Ensuring safe operations of all assets
• Ensure best practice asset management in the asset portfolio, working closely with functional teams across the business to optimise HSE, commercial and technical performance.
• Carry out site visits as required to evaluate the condition of our projects and assess operational levels.
• Participate in the late stage of the construction/commissioning process for upcoming operational projects, identifying pending activities or improvements required before to finalise the construction
• Tracking and control of key contractual elements within all project portfolio.
• Prepare and support energy production budget calculations.
• Provide input to business development, origination and asset construction activities in Colombia and proactively share knowledge and experience with the wider business.
• Support in the annual operational budget for the country and ensuring adherence to this throughout the year
