Job summary

Westinghouse is seeking a Machining Operator to operate NC machine tools at the Monfalcone site. You will set up, position, and verify tooling to achieve precise geometries per drawings and project requirements.

Reading ISO/ASME tolerances, moving components safely, and complying with safety and quality procedures are essential. Italian and English knowledge (B1) is required for collaboration across teams. The base salary range is €29,100–€37,000.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a professional or technical school.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with NC machine tools.
• Willingness to work three shifts (days and night).

Responsibilities

• Set up the machine tools.
• Operate small/medium/heavy NC machine tools (milling machine, vertical lathe, drilling machine) to obtain the designed geometries according to drawings and project requirements.
• Align and secure the part using clamping devices, determine the workpiece zero points, check the tool pre-setting, and ensure compliance with dimensional tolerances.
• Keep track of the operations work time.
• Read technical drawings, ISO and ASME tolerances.
• Move parts or furnace components into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.
• Comply with company procedures (safety, quality, risk and security).
