Scotiabank is seeking a MIS professional to build architecture for reliable MIS delivery to support collections strategies across the International Banking division.
You will design dashboards, automate data collection, and develop scorecards to benchmark performance across multiple countries. The role requires strong SQL, R, Python, and BI tool skills plus a data-driven mindset for forecasting delinquency and capacity planning.
Reporting to the MIS Manager, you will be responsible to build the architecture to deliver highly reliable MIS to drive collections strategies and actions across International Banking division. You are an analytical individual with excellent communication skills; you possess initiative and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Operates independently day to day and receives direction from the VP, Collections, and liaises with IB/Local Technology as needed. High level of autonomy required in assessing day to day issues to maximize efficiency and optimize costs. High database programming level to deliver information through data mining in diferent database languages. Ability to create easy to follow data views related to the data mining results and also for the reporting structure. Number of countries supported: +9 countries as at Nov'18 (ScotiaGBS Hub); ScotiaGBS hub currently has ~600FTE. Product mix: mortgages, SPLs, credit cards and small business. Growth markets with target increase in product mix; Collections/IT project work spans cross-border operations, and involves collection system migration as well as ongoing continuous improvement.
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited international travel may be required.
